Surgical procedures and anesthesia are often a source of stress for patients, as they are perceived as a threat to one's physical and psychological integrity. Patients undergoing retinal detachment surgery generally experience anxiety both before and after the operation.
Objectives: This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge and anxiety levels in patients undergoing preoperative retinal ablation.
Method: This study is a quantitative analytical study. The research design used is a cross-sectional study. The population in this study consisted of 108 respondents who were preoperative retinal ablation patients at Jec Menteng Hospital. The research sample consisted of 85 respondents using purposive sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test.
Result: Based on the results of the chi-square statistical test, the p-value = 0.000, meaning that the p-value < α (0.05).
Conclution: There is a Relationship between Knowledge and Anxiety Levels in Preoperative Retinal Ablation Patients at Jec Menteng Hospital in 2025.
